notes for poemI drank even though I didnt want too. Cigarettes protruded from my lips as I spoke in darkened bedrooms cross-legged and devoid of any light. In the absence of light there was nothing. Nothing but fogs of memories and two eyes of mirrored sorrow. We laid with out backs against the wall while our arrogant faces were kissed by pale moonlight. We spoke until our throats were sore slits of dry choked air. Listening to the terrors of late night radio. And that was how we spent our nights.
